Berlin 2017 // pt. 3
Third and final part of the Berlin story! In this post I'll tell you about the 3 projects we were working on down in Germany.
The biggest project we had was for a magazine called The Hundert. The wrote about startup business and were about to release a new issue. Our job was to go around Berlin and photograph the numbers 10 and 100, a sign with their logo and their earlier issues in a Berlin-environment. The photos have been used on The Hundert's instagram.
The hardest part about this was photographing the sign. It had almost a neon-orange color in real life but it was so hard to get it to look good in photos. My favourites here are the ones we took on the stairs, when the sun shines through the sign and leaves a red shadow.

Another project we had was that we each got 1-2 cinemas to photograph. Anastasia and I got to photograph a cinema in the center of Berlin (Mitte) called Kino Central. I think Kino is such a pretty word! It's cinema in german. The photos are up on @berlinkinos on instagram.
It was so incredibly beautiful when you walked through the alley to the cinema! It was here we found a lot of the graffiti you saw in the first post. Quite a contrast to the polished shopping streets not far from here.
Inne i lobbyn.
In the lobby.
Denna lilla "skylt" fanns precis utanför dörren.
This "sign" was outside the door.
This was the view if you stood outside the cinema and looked to the sky. So beautiful!

The last project we were working on in Berlin was to photograph typography all around Berlin. It was a very diffuse project, we basically just walked around the city, capturing photos of typography we thought looked cool.
